Spring Season Cancelled

OHYSA has made the difficult decision to cancel the remainder of the Spring Season. The continuation survey provided valuable information that we used to determine what scheduling for a continued season might look like at each playing level. We are extremely grateful to you all for participating, as we nearly reached a 100% response rate.

With that information in hand, we were well prepared to address the requirements laid out by the Reopen Texas Strike Force in making our final decision. The requirements laid out in the checklist to continue our season for our players, coaches, umpires, volunteers, and every spectator and visitor, are not something we believe a volunteer organization can effectively meet.

As a solely volunteer run organization established to serve the youth of our community, safety has always been, and must continue to be, our first consideration in every action we take. And ultimately our decision came down to the safety of our players and our families.
