Oak Hill is excited to offer a training and development program for our Parents, Coaches and Players this fall. New Coaches and parents are required to attend the September 13 Positive Coaching Alliance Event. We encourage all Coaches and Parents to attend the Coaching sessions.
Details:
Baseball & Softball Catching “meet up” for Catchers and their Parents and Coaches
Location: Oak Hill Complex
Field: Pony
Date: September 26, 9am at the Pony field.
Catchers “meet up” out at Oak Hill. A free clinic for Oak Hill coaches and the parent(s) of a catcher. The format is for Andrew and his coaching assistants, and several of the high school catchers they train to “meet up” at the ball park for a workout. They will guide the session and walk coaches and parents of catchers through catching skills and drills.
This isn’t a “camp”. Rather, it’s a meet-up to empower youth coaches and youth parents to coach their player. They will be working with their kid, mimicking what he is doing; executing the drills with their catcher. Its not a drop-my-kid-off camp; it’s a join your kid for a player development session hosted by Catcher Corps (Andrew’s company dedicated to empowering the next generation of catchers). Each catcher (or two) must be accompanied by an adult.
Andrew is on a mission to #MakeLittleLeagueGreatAgain.
Suggested “what to bring” but not required:
Catchers gear
Catchers mitt
Throw down home plate or something that can serve as a home plate
Six baseballs
Six tennis balls and/or whiffle balls
An interactive discussion on pitching development and the journey of a youth pitcher.
Date: held on September 10 at 7pm.
